Are you coming to the Netherlands to study or for a traineeship? If so, then you are certain to be facing an exciting and educational
period. Naturally you assume that only good things are going to happen. But what if, for instance, you were suddenly to become sick and
had to go to hospital? Or what if your luggage is missing when you arrive in the Netherlands? Unexpected financial setbacks can quickly
mount up. Fortunately, as a foreign student or trainee you can take out an insurance policy with Mondial Assistance that matches your
situation perfectly. The Incoming Student Insurance of Mondial Assistance has been specially developed for foreign students who come to
the Netherlands to study or for a traineeship.

The Incoming Student Insurance of Mondial Assistance is a policy that can be taken out for a maximum of 18 months for foreign students up to and including 30 years old. This insurance covers not only the risk of medical expenses and repatriation, but a great deal
more as well. There is also good cover provided for luggage, for travel accidents and for statutory liability – and all at a very attractive premium. For students from Europe we offer Europe cover and for students from outside Europe or who will be travelling outside Europe we offer world cover. The insurance must be applied for before the student comes to the Netherlands. And naturally the policy can be extended during its term, subject to a maximum of 18 months.
Emergency centre
Obviously it’s not something you would want to dwell on, but what if something serious were to happen during your stay in the Netherlands? It is reassuring to know that the Mondial Assitance emergency centre is on call to help you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Mondial Assistance will arrange for a maximum of two relatives to travel to the Netherlands, and, naturally, travel and accommodation expenses will be covered. If an immediate relative becomes seriously ill or dies, then Mondial Assistance will arrange the journey to your home country and travel costs will be covered.
The travel doctor
It’s not easy when you fall ill or need an answer to a medical query while you are in a foreign country surrounded by people speaking an unfamiliar language. Luckily you can always contact the travel doctor of Mondial Assistance, who can answer any medical query in six different languages. So there is a good chance that you can obtain assistance in your own language? And that is good to know. Cover includes holiday or return visit to country of origin If you go on holiday during your stay in the Netherlands, then that need not be a problem. The Incoming Student Insurance of Mondial Assistance also offers cover for holidays to destinations outside the Netherlands. And if you return to your country of origin during your
stay, for instance to visit relatives, then medical expenses in that country are covered for a maximum of 21 (consecutive) days.
